About
Most of you on here probably know me and this blog space.
I started blogging in 2009 when I left the warm cocoon of the Smithsonian Natural History Museum to begin fieldwork on Midway Atoll! You can still see the old blog, which was hosted on Wordpress, from the link on my front page. I continued on here because I was using up the memory that site allotted me for pictures! Anyways, after I left the island I kept blogging during during my various jobs and it has turned into a field blog of sorts! Interspersed with random thoughts and ramblings of course.
Well now I have made it to grad school in the Pacific Northwest! My exposure and interest in wildlife disease has led me to the academic borough of the Blaustein lab at Oregon State University. HERE, THERE BE FROGS. Frogs and their pathogens. The first 2-ish years are filled with more school work so there is not too much 'action' to write about. However, I am easily amused and learning plenty here so there is always something to talk about.
I don't update as much as when I am in the field because of my schedule but I try. Nature is very entertaining - it's hard not to comment :)
